Kusti Vuorensivu founded CAD-Expert Oy on 13 March 1989. It brought AutoCAD to Finland, supplied computers for design work, developed industry-specific drawing tools and trained users.
His son Jouni began building computers and writing software at 15. That sparked a lifelong interest in software design and automation.
Jouni took over CAD-Expert in summer 2020. When he told his wife Mirka about building software robots for routine tasks, she came up with the name: RUTIini ROBotti — Finnish for “routine robot”. The company became Rutirob on 18 October 2021.
AI assistants strengthened Jouni’s longstanding vision of software that could work independently. He became Rutirob’s CEO in April 2026 to develop the business.
CEO Jouni brings over three decades of software development experience. He studied software engineering at Tampere University of Technology while working on tools for international software production.
In 1999, he co-founded Audicode Oy with fellow students to develop mobile access to business systems. In 2001, he co-founded Remion Oy, growing it with his partners from four people to 50 by 2026.
Jouni has written software, led long-term customer projects, improved development quality and managed finance, IT and internal processes. He understands software as both a developer and a business user.
The idea for Rutirob took shape while Jouni automated Remion’s financial forecasts. Combining project, finance and workforce planning data gave a 12-month outlook. Automation made forecasts available in near real time, reduced errors and freed time for analysis and business decisions.
Jouni manages customer relationships and daily operations. Mirka develops product ideas, plans websites and marketing, and manages TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
Their sons help with TikTok, create content, test solutions and tackle smaller tasks. Rutirob combines long experience with fresh ideas from different generations.
